When it comes to adding a shed to your yard, choosing the right location is crucial. At Cache Valley Sheds, we understand that a shed is a permanent addition to your space, and it’s essential to find a spot that won’t interfere with other activities or plans for your yard. Here are some key considerations to help you make the best choice:

1. Identify the Ideal Location

First, look for an area in your yard that you don’t have any specific plans for—often referred to as “dead space.” This should be a spot where the shed won’t obstruct other uses of your yard. Consider how you’ll access the shed, which will influence whether you want doors on the end or the side. This decision will determine the shed’s orientation and how it fits into the available space.

2. Size Matters: Measure Your Space

Take measurements of the area where you plan to place the shed. This will give you an idea of what size building you can accommodate. At Cache Valley Sheds, located at 3875 US 91 in Hyde Park, we have around 30 buildings on display in various sizes, colors, and styles. These sheds are always open for viewing, even if no one is on site. We encourage you to visit and walk inside the sheds to get a real sense of the space. This experience can help you determine if a particular shed is too large, too small, or just right for your needs.

3. Site Preparation: The Foundation of Your Shed

Proper site preparation is essential for the longevity and stability of your shed. It’s important to note that groundwork or concrete work is not included in the purchase, delivery, or setup of our sheds. We recommend preparing a gravel base, about two inches thick, using either three-fourth inch or one-inch size gravel. This base provides a stable foundation for your shed.

If you’re not comfortable handling the groundwork yourself, we can refer you to a trusted contractor who has provided excellent service to our previous clients. They can handle everything from leveling the ground to delivering and spreading the gravel, ensuring your site is perfectly prepared for your new shed.

4. Delivery and Setup: Flexibility for Your Convenience

Once you’ve chosen your shed and prepared the site, we’re ready to deliver. Typically, our delivery timeframe is between seven to ten days for buildings purchased off the lot. However, we understand that site preparation and delivery schedules might not always align perfectly. If you need us to hold your shed until you’re ready, we can do so without any additional fees or charges.

At Cache Valley Sheds, we aim to make the process of selecting and installing a shed as seamless and stress-free as possible. Our wide range of options and commitment to customer service ensure you’ll find the perfect shed to meet your needs.
