What Cache Valley Sheds Offers You!

Frequently Asked Questions Our Customers Have About Cache Valley Sheds

Barn style shedAround this time of year, we get a lot of new customers looking to buy sheds in Cache Valley. It is construction season, after all. New customers often have questions about the way we do things here, so I thought I’d take some time and answer some of the most common questions we get here at Cache Valley Sheds.

1. What Do I Need For a Foundation

Before spring, we talked a bit about the things you need to consider for prep work if you want to buy a shed. All of those are questions you should think about, but some of those are things we can help you make calls on when you’re looking at our products. What you really need before we can do anything, is to have the foundation built. When it comes to a foundation, you need a cement pad, or at least 2 inches of gravel. We can provide you with special concrete blocks at $3 a block. These are typically called Cap Blocks because they cap off cinder blocks. They are specially designed to handle the resting weight needed for sheds.

2. Do You Deliver?

delivering a shedYes, absolutely. We will deliver the shed you purchased to your home and set it up for you. If you live in Cache Valley, this service is free. However, be aware that we cannot crane lift the shed, so if it will not fit through the space needed to get to your back lawn, we’ll have to build them onsite. There is a charge for this equal to 10% of the cost of the shed. Staining and painting are not included for sheds built onsite.

Fortunately, we only need a few inches of leeway on either side, so it’s fairly easy to fit the sheds through. You don’t have to worry about being left in the dark about whether or not we can deliver it pre-built or need to build it onsite, either. We will do a free onsite evaluation to help you find out what the best options are for you. You’ll know exactly what you’re getting into before you buy anything.

3. What Customizations Do You Offer?

When it comes to customizing, the sky is the limit. We have a variety of add-on packages that can go with our sheds, and our brochure gives you a rundown of various basic options available.

4. What Long-Term Maintenance Will I Need To Worry About?

shed with porchSurprisingly little. Our buildings are designed to be very sturdy and last a long time with little maintenance needed. There will be a few things to check on, however. Wood can expand and contract with changes in heat and cold.  As a result, there can be issues with the alignment of the door. This is rare, but it can happen, so you should check the doors every spring. These issues can be corrected fairly easily and without much expense. Occasional painting touch-ups might be needed, but again, this isn’t common. We try to give out paint samples to give customers a match option just in case.

Aside from that, as long as you keep it clean and no trees fall on it, it should last you a long time without needing any major repairs.

5. What’s Your Warranty

Our sheds are provided to us by Old Hickory, and they include a limited 5-year warranty with their products.

Lock Your Price In Today

We always strive to provide the best quality products at the best prices, however a combination of Covid-19 and wild-fires across the central and western US has caused a shortage of building materials around the country. Our supplier is able to get bulk discounts to mitigate these price hikes, but it’s still forcing us to increase our prices. We’re doing everything we can to get you the best deal, but until we’re able to refresh the supply across the country, it’s impossible to guarantee the prices will remain stable over time. If you’re looking to buy a shed, now is the best time if you want to ensure you get the best price on it. Get in touch with us to lock in your price as soon as you’re ready to buy.
